The Biennale for Craft and Design 2015

1 – 29 August 2015 Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen
The Biennale for Craft and Design is an exhibition and competition for new Danish craft and design. During the spring, all professionals working in this field were able to submit an application, making the Biennale a platform for both established as well as new talents. The application procedure is electronic and affords applicants the opportunity of submitting sketches of their planned projects.
Theme: Making is Connecting
This year’s theme for the Biennale, Making is Connecting, aims to showcase materials, sensory perception and craft in a field which is still renewing itself by means of concrete experimentation and through the scrutiny of new technologies, historical materials and techniques. The greatest possible development in terms of aesthetics, function, process and materials occurs where craft and design intersect. The Biennale aims to promote new collaborations, methods, and works created in a field covering craft, art, design and architecture.
