Textile designer Lotte Myrthue was awarded with The Biennale prize 2017. The Award comes with a prize sum of 100.000 Danish kroner kindly donated by Grosserer L. F. Foghts Fond.

The piece “Quilt Promises Quilts” interweaves the intimate patterns of family life with the rule-based language of bureaucratic case management, colours and graphic structures. The letter ‘blankets’ function as textile images of the experience of having one’s closest personal relations dissected in a bureaucratic process. Read more
